Selene is one of the 5 puppies in a litter that we rescued out of Porterville, CA. They were found dumped on a riverbank, with no mom/dad in sight. The good Samaritan who found them contacted us to see if we could help. With the help of 2 other rescues, Animal Rescue of Tracy and Pack Lyfe Rescue, we were able to find them all foster homes. They are among the 7 dogs that our BARK team transported to the Bay Area and Tracy, CA from Porterville, CA and Merced, CA on April 1, 2023.
Selene is the one puppy that we took into our foster home. Our vet estimated her age to be about 13 weeks old, and we think that she and her littermates may be Shepherd/Husky mixes. She is not yet available for adoption as we still need to fully vaccinate, spay, and deworm her. All of these services cost us several hundred dollars and our adoption fee will not be able to fully cover the cost. We’re hoping to make up for the gap through donations.
