Nellie was a volunteer favorite at Stanislaus shelter and was scheduled for euthanasia, due to overcrowding, when we rescued her and placed her with her current long-term foster. She has been in an amazing long-term foster home the last few months. Unfortunately they need to move to a different home and their new landlord will not let them keep Nellie just because she’s a Pitbull! This is totally unfair to Nellie as she is an “almost” perfect Pittie and is so well-behaved.

We have identified an emergency foster to take her in until November 4th so that a sweet girl like her will not need to go to a boarding facility, which is a stressful environment that is not that much better than being at the shelter. However, we still need a new long-term foster for her in case she has not been adopted by November 4th. Would you consider fostering her until she gets adopted? If not, can you please share her profile so she can find her fur-ever home by November 4th or, at the very least, a new long-term foster? Please???
Please see her adoption profile below. If you’re interested in fostering Nellie, please fill out our online application.
She has a very sensitive stomach and needs special food that is pretty pricey. We’re looking for a cheaper alternative, but if you cannot Foster or Adopt at this moment, will you please consider donating toward her food?
